The Artist

I never thought of myself as an artist. My background is in engineering, banking, and even a PhD in marketing—far from the world of art. But, like many during quarantine, I picked up a hobby just to pass the time. I grabbed a paintbrush, curious to see what would happen. To my (and my family’s) surprise, I was creating pieces that captivated those who saw them.

What started as a way to fill my time became something I could not stop thinking about. I painted constantly. I experimented with colors and techniques, and before I knew it, I had more pieces than I had space for. My friends were not just admiring my work—they were asking to buy it. That’s when I realized this was more than just a hobby.
